philosophy
At Calibre we center our company philosophy around three key principals
- Control Budgets
- Anticipate Issues
- Meet Schedules
Controlling Budgets
Calibre's project managers have more than 20 years experience in managing civil engineering projects, and over 35 years combined experience in engineering, planning and surveying. We understand the significance of meeting project budgets. To maximize your project's economic return we offer the following expertise:
We explore alternatives prior to proceeding with the design, and keep our clients informed of the possible design solutions. Early evaluation of design possibilities allows us to direct our primary efforts on the most cost effective solution. This helps us to stay within our engineering budget, and to reduce construction costs. Keeping our clients informed of design alternatives insures that our clients have input regarding costs and alternative selection.
We understand that the cost to construct our designs can influence project feasibility.
Anticipating Issues
Calibre's approach to a project is simple but effective:
We know the project well enough to anticipate and resolve issues before they become problems.
Very early in the process we identify issues such as property deed restrictions, annexation conditions, utilities availability, existing utility conflicts, and environmental issues. During the design process we continue to focus on issues that can be unexpected such as agency coordination, processing, agency requirements, proposed utility conflicts, consultant, and client coordination.
Meeting Schedules
Calibre's experienced staff knows that timing can be critical for many reasons. Factors such as market timing, carry cost, sales, contractual commitments, etc. create the need for effective scheduling. Our experience with property entitlement, engineering, site construction management, and building construction engineering/survey gives us the ability to provide meaningful schedules.
we appreciate the knowledge and effort calibre has brought to the design team.- bart lowen, red development
