Broadband Stimulus 2009
As we are all aware, the US government has passed a Stimulus Package in an effort to stimulate the US economy. Included in this package is just under $10 billion in Broadband Stimulus funding. The funds have been split between two agencies, Rural Utilities Services and National Telecommunication Information Agency, and since RUS concentrates on rural developments, it is expected that most of the funding will go to expanding Broadband Stimulus networks into rurual areas. The overriding theme of all concerned agencies is that they want to dramatically increase Broadband coverage and speeds nationwide. If you think you may benefit from either of these programs, we are confident in our ability to offer any services that you might require. Calibre has been solving all phases of telecom challenges from evaluating maps to collecting new information. We are even developing a method of collating mapping materials, known as Rapidmap.
