Calibre is providing all civil engineering and surveying services for this mixed-use development, located one mile south of the intersection of E-470 and Gartrell Road. The site includes an all ages recreation center (5000 SF), an age qualified recreation center (10,000 SF), a school site, open space, a dog park, tennis courts, soccer field, plat structure, additional sport courts, pool, pavilion, event lawn, active lifestyle amenities, and 714 single and multi family lots. The recreation centers include indoor and outdoor sport courts and fields, including basketball and volleyball courts, tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, and open space.
Drainage will consider future adjacent development, with the potential for sediment transport with runoff from the Rocking Horse project. Some of the site’s filings will be located within the Eagle Gulch (Saddle Rock Ranches) Watershed, and Calibre’s design will strive to maintain historical drainage patterns. Discharge will be maintained through silt fencing, inlet protection, Stabilized Staging Areas, and rough cut street control. Further, because the site is located within the Cherry Creek Drainage Basin, it will be subject to the Colorado Department of Health & Environment’s Cherry Creek Reservoir Control Regulation 5 and the Colorado Discharge Permit System stormwater discharge permit, both of which will be assisted by Calibre.
The housing generates approximately 3500 daily trips throughout the site, requiring a two-way collector roadway. Required master analysis for water and sanitary sewer. Wastewater and water has included 870 LF of 12” PVC waterline, 19,060 LF of 8” PVC waterline, 17,390 LF of 8” PVC sanitary sewer main, and 765 LF of 10” PVC sanitary sewer main.
