Project to build a 11,601 SF addition and renovate 200 SF space to construct an ambulatory radiation therapy addition to the main campus of the Kansas City VA medical center. The new addition shall provide space for a new linear accelerator, a new CT simulator, and clinical space for the staff of the radiation therapy clinic. The new space shall be adjacent to the northwest side of the Building 26. This facility will be utilized as the main ambulatory radiation therapy clinic for the Kansas City area. The design will include building a vault on the ground level to enclose new linear accelerator and shall accommodate future vertical expansion. The ground level shall be able to support future expansion specifically layout and infrastructure for planned phase II (which will build five additional floors).
