This project provided a feasibility study, concept design, and construction documents for routing a gravity main from the First Creek Lift Station to the High Point Lift Station in compliance with the Metro master plan. Drawing upon an initial concept study provided by another engineering firm, Calibre analyzed five alternatives, including potentially tunneling more than 60 feet deep, running through the Green Valley Ranch Golf Course, running up Denver lengths of Dunkirk, and more, to find Aurora’s most feasible option. After selecting the preferred alternative, Calibre provided 30% design of the entire alignment, and 100% construction drawings for the segment of the alignment through Green Valley Ranch East. The project includes approximately 23,000 LF of 36-42” gravity sanitary main.
