The Rick’s Center School required a building addition, as well as the addition of playground and drainage facilities, and the rehabilitation of an existing street. A storm drain was installed to intercept drainage around the tightly constrained building footprint. Street grades were set to ensure accessibilities. The student drop-off area was separated from through traffic, and a portion of the existing street was abandoned to reduce through traffic. Close coordination was maintained with the school administration and architect.
